At CGM we offer educated, safe, and fun movement for Sunshine Coast mums to be. Exercising during pregnancy is important and Pilates and Yoga are some of the safest and most effective forms of exercise to do during this time.

CGM Pregnancy Guidelines

All pregnant clients, both new and existing, are required to attend a Prenatal Consult before starting, or continuing our classes. As every pregnancy is different this ensures we can guide you with the best possible care throughout your pregnancy. During your Prenatal Consult we will review your history, discuss your goals, assess your movement and posture, provide education on pelvic floor health, and provide you with modifications to keep you moving safely.

Existing Client?

Let us know you are pregnant straight away (don’t worry we will be discrete with your news!). We’ll book you in for a 30min prenatal consult towards the end of your first trimester. You will most likely be able to continue group classes throughout your entire pregnancy and our team will provide modifications to suit you.

Since every pregnancy is unique we monitor this based on you as an individual, and at any stage we may recommend you to move into Private or Small Group Studio Pilates sessions if deemed more appropriate. Our number one priority is taking care of you and your baby.

New to CGM?

The first step is to book in a 60minute Initial Consult with us. Our group classes can be suitable through your entire pregnancy provided you’ve started moving with us prior to 20 weeks pregnant, and you’ve been cleared for Group Classes during your initial consult with us. If you are 20 plus weeks and interested in starting, then our Private Studio Pilates and/or Small Group sessions are for you.

Bookings are subject to availability, call us on 5408 5030 or email to check for current availability.

Postnatal

Once your doctor or health practitioner gives you clearance to return to exercise, which is usually around six (6) weeks after giving birth, you can book in your 30minute Postpartum Consult with us. We recommend all mums 6weeks-6months post birth who are looking to return to exercise attend this session prior to returning to Group Classes. We will review abdominal muscles for separation, screen for pelvic floor issues, and provide guidance on your readiness to return to exercise. Your baby is most welcome to attend this session with you.

Mums & Bubs Reformer Pilates

Our Mums & Bubs Reformer Pilates classes are a great option for returning to exercise post birth. This welcoming environment allows you to bring bub with you to class where you can feed, change, and play with them as much or as little as needed during the session. Plus it's the perfect opportunity to connect to other new mums.

These classes provide a full body Pilates workout designed to help your body recover from pregnancy and childbirth.

Babies are welcome in these sessions until they become mobile (usually around 6months).

To join this class book in a 30min postnatal consult with us (click here to book). Alternatively you can book a postnatal consult with Women’s Health Physio Caitlin from Her.Women’s health (Caitlin instructs this class and at your appointment with her she will be able to book you in for class too!)

SCHEDULE: Thursday 10am
